Q. How do I join the game?
A. You only need to connect with a VT-100 compatible telnet client to gt.gamingmuseum.com, port 23, then log in as REGISTER. Nearly every operating system released in the last eight years comes with one. However, many of these are very basic or partially incompatible, and not well suited for Galactic Trader. Please go here to see if yours is compatible. If you do not have access to a suitable telnet client, you may use our Java Telnet applet. This only requires Java 1.1 or later to be installed on the system. Java 1.1 comes with Internet Explorer 4.01 and later, and Netscape Navigator 4.5 and later. However, if you are using Firefox or Internet Explorer 6, you may need to download Sun's JVM here.
